Lexus Melbourne Cup 2020

I think we all know now that any work being shared from 2020 is going to open with some sort of insight around how it was ‘a year like no other’ or how the brand had to ‘make a dramatic shift’. Well i’ll save you the bullshit and get right into it.

For obvious reasons, Lexus couldn’t make the most of their 2020 Melbourne Cup sponsorship, so they tasked us with finding a way people could still get the MCC experience, but from home.

To answer this, we bought together every man and his dog that would usually be involved in the Lexus Melbourne Cup, and got them to share their usually very exclusive skills with us. We uploaded all this to the Lexus Sensory Hub, where people could discover recipes from chefs like Josh Niland and Neil Perry, Floral arrangements from florists like Saskia Havekes, Styling tips from Matecevski, etc etc.

We created Film Content, Podcasts, Recipes, Short videos, Illustrations, and everything bloody else in the content handbook. All mounting up to around 60 different pieces of content that people could follow to amplify their Melbourne Cup experience from home.
